I’ve never been one to completely dismiss AI in music—artists like Holly Herndon have shown its creative potential. But most generative AI music, especially from tools like Suno, has left me cold. So I’m surprised to admit that I actually enjoy 1010Benja’s 'Semiramis’ Dream.' Benja is unapologetic about using generative AI on his latest EP, 'Time Has Nothing To Do With What You Choose…' While the other three tracks don’t quite match the quality of his 2024 release 'Ten Total,' the opener is infectious. It bursts from the speakers with a jungle beat and a captivating energy that’s hard to resist.
