Amazon is rolling out a significant update to its Alexa Plus assistant, enhancing its ability to manage smart home devices with greater intelligence. The new AI-driven capabilities allow Alexa Plus to seamlessly connect with products from leading brands including Bosch, Delta, Ecovacs, iRobot, Yale Home, Whirlpool, Tapo, and Eufy. A key feature is automatic request routing to the correct device. For instance, a user with a compatible washing machine can say, "Alexa, my kid's soccer jersey could use a deep clean, but the tag says cold wash only." Alexa Plus will then intelligently navigate the washer’s cycle options and select the appropriate setting. This integration is powered by Amazon’s new AI developer tools, marking a step forward in contextual home automation.
